Fogo Island Inn featured in Architectural Digest
The February 2014 issue of Architectural Digest named Fogo Island Inn as one of their Ten Daring New Buildings Around The World, calling it “a standout in an extraordinary setting.” Sustainable EDGE has worked on many aspects of this remarkable building, including an initial Sustainability Opportunities report, Integrated Design Charette, high-performance building envelope design assistance, and consulting on high-efficiency mechanical systems through to the end of construction. Ontario Architects Association HQ Targets Zero Carbon Emissions!
Sustainable EDGE is designing the strategic retrofitting of the Ontario Architect Association head office in Toronto to meet the net zero carbon 2030 Challenge target, as well as maximizing indoor environmental quality. Working with David Fujiwara Architect, TransSolar EnergieTechnik and Gottesman Associates, we are employing an innovative design for thermal envelope upgrades, solar shading, 100% outdoor air displacement ventilation with biowall air cleaning. The remaining minimal mechanical systems energy will be supplied by solar energy on the rooftop.
